Oleksii Afanasiev has been holding the position of Senior Strategy Officer of Recycling Solutions since June 2020.

Previously, he worked for UMG Investments, where he gained practical experience in business analytics and studies of business development prospects. Oleksii participated in the development of the pilot project which grew to become Recycling Solutions in 2012.

He has extensive experience in the development of business strategies and new business projects as well as their implementation. In 2018–2020, he supervised the construction of the plant and the establishment of Ukrainian Mineral Fertilizers.

Oleksii Afanasiev graduated from Donetsk National University holding degrees in International Economics and Applied Economics.
