As a result of the destruction of the railway infrastructure of Dokuchayevsky flux-dolomite plant (Dokuchaevsk, Donetsk Region) the shipping of their products cannot be continued to end users. As a consequence, stoppage of plant operation led to a shortage of raw materials on the market.

On Monday, February 9, 2015 a shutdown was announced at PrJSC Dokuchayevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant (Dokuchayevsk, Donetsk region). Over the past two weeks the plant and infrastructure of the town and the surrounding area were seriously damaged as a result of military activities. Fortunately, there were no casualties among the plant workers and the civilians.

United Minerals Group (UMG) Holding has acquired the company LLC firma “Donkerampromsiryo”, formerly part of the Italian Marazzi Group. The transaction includes 100% corporate rights to LLC firma “Donkerampromsiryo”, a company developing the Toretskoye deposit of refractory and high-melting clays in the Donetsk Region. Balance clay reserves of the acquired asset are estimated at 4.5 million tons. The cost of the transaction was not disclosed.

On January 26, Evgeniy Tsymarman, General Director of UMG Clay Extracting Plants, passed on to Druzhkovka Municipal Council the keys to the accommodations at the hostel for refugees from the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operations (ATO). The hostel rooms were repaired at the Group’s expense, under the auspices of Rinat Akhmetov’s Humanitarian Aid+Help Centre. The investments amounted to UAH 138 thousand.

Today, on 9 January, the trucks carrying help under Rinat Akhmetov’s humanitarian aid drive have left for Donetsk for the first time this year. The first convoy will deliver 260 tonnes of groceries which include sugar, pasta, cereals and oat flakes to Donbass civilians. Overall, the Centre plans to deliver 8,000 tonnes of groceries to be packed in 500,000 humanitarian parcels.

On January 15, Alcheieva Larysa Vasylivna, a 1969 year of birth employee of the Security Function of Dokucheyevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant (Dokuchayevsk, Donetsk Region), died after the shelling of a work bus. Other seven people were wounded
